Over our long term relationship with the City of Hope National Medical Center, Hamilton Construction has constructed multiple new and remodeled laboratory facilities, and we have constructed similar lab spaces for other clients including the University of California Riverside, Amgen, and St Jude Hospital & Rehabilitation Center in Fullerton.

The Arthur and Bernice Shapiro Laboratory Building at the City of Hope provides 13,000 square feet of laboratory space. The building includes space for Nutrition, Urology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology, and Neurology research.

The 20,000 square foot Biomedical Research Building provides the focus for all of the City of Hope’s animal research, and includes Animal Holding, Quarantine, Necroscopy, Isolation, and Cage Wash facilities.

The 16,000 square foot Conrad Hilton Research Building includes Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Chemistry Lab, DNA & Amino Acid Labs, Microsequencing, and Administrative Support Spaces within in it’s precast concrete clad structure.

Hamilton Construction has worked closely with the SCAQMD and local health authorities to ensure the appropriate level of involvement throughout the design and construction process. The specialized waste handling, building mechanical and fume hood exhaust filtration, and finishes such as epoxy flooring all reflect state of the art technologies which comply with current agency requirements.
